Zone Challenge: Easy Breakfast Idea

Hey Zone Challengers!  2011 has so much to offer but its up to you to take advantage of all that the new year has available.  No matter what we have done or where we have been we can always make change.  Positive change such as working out more consistently, eating a balanced diet/Zone, being a better Father, Mother, employee, friend, etc.  I think you get the point.  Think of life like Crossfit.  We all have strengths and weaknesses.  Most of the time it feels like more weaknesses than strengths.  Nonetheless, if we focus on all our problems or “weaknesses” we will be overwhelmed and won’t know where to start.  Instead, pick one thing and get better at it.  Lets take nutrition for example.  Use what you have in front of you.  The Zone Challenge is an opportunity to change your life, for the rest of your life.  Corny or not its the truth.  Spend the next 8 weeks eating strict Zone and you will absolutely be a different person.  Not only the way you look and perform but how you feel.  Who doesn’t like feeling good?

Check out the quick video I recorded this morning of my breakfast.  Our day has to start with Breakfast, so lets start there.  A couple things I forgot to mention is the Coach’s Oats are available at Costco as well as Sam’s Club.  The Blueberries are frozen and available at Costco.  Thanks to Crossfit my purpose is to be as efficient as possible in everything I do.  So when it comes to breakfast I multi-task.  When I get out of the shower I head right to the stove top.  I get out my eggs, cheese, and mushrooms and get them cooking while I get dressed and brush my teeth.  Before I start the eggs I grab a bowl for the oatmeal and put the water in and get it going in the microwave.  The oats take 4 minutes to cook.  Then I get the coffee brewing.  Once I finish brushing my teeth I take my 2 tablespoons (10grams) EPA/DHA.  By the time I am dressed and ready, my food is done and I am out the door to the gym.  I drink my coffee with just a splash of 1% milk.  There you have it folks.  Thats my daily routine.  Have fun and let me know if you have any questions.  You can email me anytime about anything.  I am here for all of you so please take advantage of that.
