2009 Crossfit Games Weekend


2009 Crossfit Games LogoAs most of you know the gym will be closed Thursday, July 9th – Sunday, July 12th.  We will resume normal class times starting back on Monday, July 13th.  I would like to take this time to recognize our amazing athletes that will be competing this weekend at the 2009 Crossfit Games in Aromas, Ca!  It will be a very exciting and grueling weekend for all involved.  Our Affiliate Team will consist of our Top 3 men and Top 3 women.  The Men are as follows:  Jake Mannion, Moroni Kelley, Danny O’brien.  The Women are as follows: Giermaine (Maine) Kinnick, Blanca Kelley, Julianne (Nan) Kinnick.  They will be competing on Friday in 3 Team style workouts.  Also, Jeremy Kinnick will be representing our gym and the Southern California Region in the Individual Competition which takes place Saturday and Sunday.  The Individual Competition will consist of 5 workouts on Saturday and only the Top 16 from Saturdays events will go on to compete on Sunday.  Check out Jeremy’s Interview… [wmv] [mov] after he qualified at the Southern California Qualifier.  Lets show our support for our athletes with some comments and encouragement.  This will be a true test of not only fitness but heart.  We will do our best to keep you updated on our site but for more up to date coverage please visit 2009 Crossfit Games.  You will also find info on all the ahtletes male and female who will be competing for the title of “Fittest Person in the World”.

    I’ve seen you guys putting in work in the gym, over and over and over. Pushin the thresholds with back to back WODs in some cases. Anyone else would think theres just something not right with you, the rest of us know its cause you want it more than anything else, and you live for those moments. I’ve heard alot of you guys say last year was a trial run, by the looks of it, this year’s for real. Game on, CRUSH em!
